Qualitone was started over 50 years ago in 1958. Qualitone was one of the early pioneers of the consumer electronics business and started the company as a manufacturer of phonograph needles and importer of audio accessories. As the world changed so did Qualitone.
In 1968 we were one of the first to go into the wholesale electronics mail order business. During that time Qualitone sold things as varied as ukuleles and bongo drums to coffee makers and hair dryers!
As the industry matured and our customer’s needs became clearer, our focus turned to the up and coming audio visual industry with Commercial Sound, Pro Audio and CCTV a specialty. As the years went by, Qualitone continued to grow and expand one satisfied customer at a time.
In December of 2006, Qualitone Industries was acquired by VCOM International Multimedia Corporation, parent company of Comprehensive, the world-renowned manufacturer of Comprehensive brand connectivity products. This allowed Qualitone to greatly expand our product offering and logistics capabilities to better serve our customers for the 21st century.
As they say, time flies when you are having fun and we have now been providing superior value and service for over half a century.
